Observations

This excursion is arranged to go on specially conditioned vehicles departing from your Hosteria to visit the main touristic attractions in Torres del Paine National Park such as Laguna Azul (lagoon), Cascada Paine (waterfall), Mirador del los Cuernos (look out point), Salto Grande (waterfall), the Administration of the Park to finally arrive to Lago Grey area. During this journey it is possible to take an two optional walks included in this tour to Salto Grande waterfall (30’ ow) and Lago Grey beach (45’ ow).

This is the most popular trekking excursión inside the park. The trek is on well signalled paths, with slopes that reach a difficulty of medium-high level. This is a challenge for thousand of tourists that wait felling the climate of our Patagonia up to get to the colossal towers carved on granite by the force of the nature.

The trekking excursion to the French Valley, takes us for a path that surrounds the maximum height of the national park, the Paine Grande, with its 3.050 meters high, going up to the Italian Camp and afterwards to the British Camp, surrounded by the most imposing mountains in the Paine mountain range.

The trekking trip to Pingo Cascade, offers us the opportunity to enjoy with one of the few really unexplored areas and virgins of the Park, natural habitat of the huemul and the puma (protected species). The abundant vegetation of the path allows this program can be developed even if the climate conditions are not completely favorable.

The trekking to Verde Lagoon begins from the park's main road, near Weber Bridge, that crosses Paine river, among a leafy vegetation, reaching a height that allows us to enjoy from a privilege place, with a panoramic view of Paine Horns, the Almirante Nieto Mount and the Paine Grande mountains.

Combined excursion of horse riding and trekking to the Base of the Towers, arranged for tourists who want to enjoy a different landscape, flora and fauna, being able to take three tour ways in the same day: "Trip on vehicle up to Las Torres area, horse riding from Las Torres Hosteria to Chileno Shelter round trip and trekking from Chileno Shelter to the Base of the Towers round trip".

Excursion designed for those adventurers that want to enjoy their stay to the max, be able to take several activities in a few time. It allows to join with the Patagonia's particular nature and our local culture. The itinerary begins with a transfer from your Hosteria to Grey Lake area where Navigation through Grey Lake starts. Once you arrive to Grey Shelter there is a vessel change continuing with a zodiac boats up to Grey Glacier where it is possible to disembark and take an ice hiking.

Excursion for non-experienced people with low difficulty unless wind conditions are unfavorable. This itinerary could be arranged during the morning and afternoons. It allows you to observe ice floes that have come through Grey Lake more than 18 km. getting closer the beach and melting after 12.000 years at the border of the Peninsula.

This a soft hiking to Nordensjöld Lake viewpoint, considered a low difficulty excursion. It surrounds Nordensjöld East part up to get to a natural viewpoint located in front of Paine Grrande mountains and the main Paine Horn.

Kayaking excursion among the Grey Lake floes that have come through Grey Lake more than 18 km. getting closer the beach and melting after 12.000 years at the border of the Peninsula. That was the latest glacier age of the Earth.

This is a soft horse riding excursión that allows you to go through a path getting to Serrano area near mountains and river with the same name. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Paine mountain range, Grey Glacier, Ferrier Hill, Donoso Hill. Once you arrive to this natural viewpoint, you can stop for aprox. 15 minutes to follow riding to Lago del Toro Lake shore. Afterwards, return to Serrano area through an old livestock path that belonged to Paine River Livestock Society.

The horse riding excursión to Tyndall viewpoint is available to take it by Serrano River’s shore, watching the beauty of different landcapes such us: Serrano River Cascade, Brunch River or Donoso Hill Base among the native vegetacion, fauna and birds to get up to a natural viewpoint that allows you to see part of the Patagonia’s Southern Ice Fields and the biggest glacier inside Torres del Paine National Park. The itinerary can be changed if the glaciers' thaws are growing Serrano River waters and it is not possible to hike near there.

Serrano is a deep river that shows you a turquoise green color, with a wonderful landscape of Paine Horns. The species that we can fish in this river are residents brown trouts, searun trouts, silver salmon and king salmon. Also in this area there are some small lagoons that offer you a good fishing time.

Kayaking among big ice floes thawing of Grey Glacier will be indeed an unforgettable experience through twelve kilometres up Grey River.

Departure from Serrano River dock. First of all, there is a sailing on zodiac boats during 20 minutes getting to a geographical accident that produces a cascade called Salto Rio Serrano. Here you can stay and walk around for a while without walking difficulties and suitable for any age. It is possible to see the Southern Ice Fields. During the journey it is also possible to see the Paine main mountains.

Departure from Serrano River dock. First of all, there is a sailing on zodiac boats during 20 minutes getting to a piece of land where we have to walk to get another vessel sailing down arriving to a small pier. Once here, it is possible to take an optional 30 minutes walk one way to get in front of Serrano Glacier. Afterwards, return to the small pier for taking a cutter vessel and returning to Puerto Natales. On the way we will be able to admire Balmaceda Glacier.

It starts in Serrano area in Torres del Paine sailing down on zodiac boats where the southern ice fields are the best landscapes. Afterwards, return to Torres del Paine sailing up the river.

Departure from Serrano River dock. First of all, there is a sailing on zodiac boats during 20 minutes getting to Serrano River Cascade and afterwards there is a 20 minutes hiking to Esmeralda Lagoon. This is a very attractive excursion where we can join a zodiac navigation with a soft walking enjoying the view of Paine main mountains.

Another advantage is the abundant flora that you can see on the way and this is also a very good place for salmons fishing.

Departure from Serrano River dock. We are going to provide you waterproof and thermal clothes. There a first 20 minutes navigation to Serrano Cascade. Once you arrive there, you will need to walk 5 or 8 minutes to get to another zodiac boat is located. There will be a next 30 minutes navigation to Tyndall Glacier viewpoint. Here we can stop and get off the boat to take a soft walk of 10 minutes to get a better view of the Glacier.

18:00 hrs.

Departure from Serrano River dock. We are going to provide you waterproof and thermal clothes. There a first 20 minutes navigation to Serrano Cascade. Once you arrive there, you will need to walk 5 or 8 minutes to get to another zodiac boat is located. There will be a next 40 minutes navigation up to Anita farm-house. You will receive a short review of the area and the owners are going to provide you the horses to continue up to get to Geike Glacier.

Departure from your Hosteria to Grey area, where we will take the Grey II vessel that will allows us to sail up to the other side of Grey Lake. Once there, it is possible to see the great Grey Glacier and its floes. Also there is a panoramic view of Paine mountain range.
