The rivers of this zone are often surrounded by an abundance of vegetation which can make shore fishing difficult. For this reason the locals invented flat bottomed Cherry wood boats. These boats are ideal for riding high in the water,

navigating the occasional deep spots, and maneuvering through the quickly flowing currents.

Pucon, and the surrounding area, are home to over 50 km of navigable rivers. The gems of this magical destination are the rivers Liucura and Trancura.
