Wineries, tastings and gourmet food combined with the Each tour includes a morning visit to a winery, a delicious gourmet lunch and an afternoon visit to a winery. Aconcagua Valley
An hour north of Santiago, the Aconcagua Valley is known for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah production. On a clear day you can see the stunning peak of Aconcagua which gives the valley its name. At nearly 23,000 feet it is the highest peak in the western hemisphere. Wineries which we may visit include Errazuriz, Von Siebenthal or San Esteban. A delicious Chilean lunch will be prepared by our hosts Marcela and Alexis at Casa San Regis, a beautifully restored hacienda dating back to the 1750s.

Casablanca and San Antonio Valleys

Towards the coast in the direction of Valparaiso is the Casablanca Valley. With a climate that favors the white varietals, Casablanca is known for its premium Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc wines. Winery development only began here in the 1980s and all have a very modern feel. Wineries available for visiting include Casa del Bosque, Indomita, Matetic, Veramonte, Villard and William Cole. For lunch we will visit the either the House of Morandé Restaurant or Indomita, both serving gourmet international cuisine.

Cachapoal Valley

Cachapoal Valley is one hour south of Santiago and lies between the Andes and the Coastal Range. Producing primarily red varietals the valley is quickly earning an international reputation for premium Cabernets and Merlots. Winery visits include Anakena, Chateu Los Boldos, Gracia, La Rosa, Misiones de Rengo and Torreón de Paredes. We will visit Hacienda Los Lingues for a delicious lunch.

Maipo Valley

The oldest wine producing region in Chile, the Maipo Valley is just south of Santiago and extends from the base of the Andes well into the Central Valley. It has a reputation for producing some of the best Cabernet Sauvignons in Chile and the world. While home to the largest and oldest Chilean wineries, there is tremendous growth in new wineries with French, Italian and US partners among others. For lunch we’ll visit the Doña Paula restaurant at Viña Santa Rita and then tour their facilities with one the oldest bodegas in Chile. Other wineries we may visit include Almaviva, Aquitania, Haras de Pirque, Perez Cruz, Quebrada de Macul and William Fevre.
